The original and still the best solution for confined space, high angle or technical rescue, and traditional land based applications, the Sked stretcher is a revolutionary design which provides outstanding patient protection and security.
Skedco now has the Austrian made Skedco/Cobra side release buckles that are dependable and strong enough to meet the needs of securing a patient into a Sked stretcher without the danger of breakage. These buckles are rated at 3,000 pounds. They are durable and easy to use. When they are under tension they are very hard to release thus accidental release under tension is not an issue. With these buckles, you will no longer have to weave the webbing through the original steel buckles when packaging a patient. Patient packaging is often done in about half of the time as when using the original steel buckles.
The Sked comes equipped for horizontal hoisting by helicopter or vertical hoisting in caves or industrial confined spaces. When the patient is packaged the stretcher becomes rigid. The durable plastic provides protection for the patient while allowing extrication through the most demanding confined spaces.
The SK-200 Sked Basic Rescue System comes with:
The stretcher is rolled for storage in a tough Cordura backpack which is included with the system. The Sked storage bag is 36 inches (91 cm) long by 9 inches (23 cm) in diameter and ships at 18 lbs, complete for most applications.
Available in International Orange or Olive Drab Green.

The NEST litter is perfect for confined spaces as it allows the victim to be transported horizontally, vertically or at an angle, to adapt to irregular or narrow terrain.
This litter has a complete body harness integrated in it to package the victim securely and the straps are colour-coded to avoid any installation error. Self-locking DoubleBack buckles for quick and easy strap adjustment.
The smooth, rigid plastic bottom ensures good sliding and the rigid "stays" can be removed to reduce bulk. Foam padding provides comfort for the victim's back and can be cleaned easily after use.
With the STEF inclination device (optional accessory) the litter can be easily tilted according to the terrain.
The Traverse Rescue Stretcher (TRS) has been designed and constructed for both horizontal and vertical casualty evacuations. The lightweight and compact roll-up design makes this stretcher ideal for high angle and confined space rescue, as well as backcountry wilderness and helicopter operations. The wrap-around concept gives the patient a feeling of security and protects arms and sides from further injury during evacuation procedures.
The stretcher is constructed using an inner layer made from a tough high density polyethylene sheet, which give the stretcher it's rigidity when curved around the patient. The outer fabric shell is made using two different materials. The base fabric is a 1350 Denier Cordura nylon with a heavy PU coating, which has been specially woven to be as tough as possible to resist abrasion and cuts. The top layer is 1000 Denier Cordura making a tough but comfortable layer for the patient to lay on. The carry handles and vertical lift attachment points are construct from 2' web and are designed as structural attachment points for a lifting bridle. The plastic tubing on the carry handle makes for a much more comfortable carry for rescuers. The built-in color-coded full body adjustable harness restrains the patient securely in the stretcher so there is no need to fold over the head and foot end of the stretcher, which can cause discomfort to the patient. Padded straps in the shoulder and groin areas make for a comfortable fit, while the foot strap stops the patient from sliding down during vertical lifts. The six outer 2 'web restraint straps further secure the patient into the stretcher by wrapping the stretcher around the patient's body using a two-bar, thee-bar steel buckle system, which is easy and quick to work with even with glove on. The stretcher comes with a cordura storage bag with backpack shoulder straps.
The Wrap Evac harness allows you to completely secure your patient, even in extremely small and restricted spaces. A sliding head harness easily adjusts to different body sizes, allowing for cervical immobilization. Extremely versatile, the harness can even be used without the backboard for confined space rescue in vertical or horizontal configurations.
