Designed for setting up belays and other anchor points on rock faces, or as a quick anchor point in rescue operations.
Breaking strength 22 kN
This high-performance pick-off strap is designed to weigh less and be less bulky, but still perform when you need it.
With a sewn anchor loop on the load end and a hand loop on the haul end, this strap allows for quick weight transfer from one system to another.
The Fastest Connecting Anchor Strap Solution Available!
Standard anchor straps with D-rings on each end can create tri-axial loading on the connecting carabiner. A delta screw link connecting the two ends of the strap eliminates this hazard, but screw links are slow to fasten and add weight. CMC has eliminated the D-rings and solved both problems with this new design.
Simply wrap the strap around the anchor point and clip the integrated ProTech Auto-Lock Carabiner into the included 12 mm Delta Quick Link, and you're ready to connect your system.
Strength Specifications for All Sizes:
This is the only Pick-Off Strap with two carabiners incorporated directly into the strap, which reduces the overall weight.
CMC uses the same high-strength, mil-spec web and adjuster hardware as in their original Pick-Off Strap. The web begins to slip through the buckle at 17-18 kN (3,800-4,000 lbf). The two ProTech Auto-Lock Carabiners with keeper pins are UL Classified to NFPA 1983 - Technical Use.
Over the years, we have performed dozens of roadside rescues using vehicles as anchors or changes of direction. We have attached to wheels, tied through frame holes, and even seen folks girth hitch tow balls! It was always time consuming and stressful guessing the safety of our attachment.
The Conterra Hitch-Plate answers the question of exactly where and how to anchor to your rig when performing a vehicle-based rope rescue. The Hitch-Plate is beautifully made and "wicked strong." It is CNC machined entirely from billet aluminum in Conterra's ISO 9001 certified fab shop. It sports five large rigging holes and will fit in any 2 in. vehicle receiver. (Please check and make sure that your receiver is 2.00 inches) It has an ingenious system that keeps the pin and cotter attached to the device so that they can't be lost and comes with it's own padded ballistic nylon case with grab handle and hang loop. Meets NFPA Standard 1983 (2012 ed.) and is UL certified. Rated for General Use (G) MBS 50 kN. (For rope rescue only. Not for vehicle recovery or towing.)
Another remarkable innovation from Rescue Systems, Inc. the OMNI-SLING is comprised of a unique webbing weave which adds incredible strength without compromising on weight.
Constructed with 2 inch long slots and separated by 1 inch of solid webbing, the OMNI-SLING is the only rigging anchor sling that has a separate rigging point every 3 inches. Rigging slots are actually woven into the original webbing construction and not simply sewn in.
Sewn daisy-chain rigging loops often fail at the stitch points well below the sling's rated strength (as most sewn daisy-chains utilize 1-inch tubular webbing with a tensile strength of 4,000 lbs). The webbing used in the OMNI-Sling has an ultimate tensile strength of 8,000 lbf and exceeds all standards and regulations for one person life support lines. When looped like a basket hitch, the OMNI-Sling meets two person load requirements.
Available in orange or black, with special lengths (or red) available upon request.
CMC created the Pick-Off Strap so that a rescuer could quickly connect to the victim and then adjust the strap to the desired length and they work well for positioning the victim for a lowering or rappel-based pick-off, or for an assisted rappel.
CMC also added a loop to the end for a more positive grip when pulling to adjust.
The strong 1-3/4 inch web improves long-term durability, especially where the strap threads through the buckle. Depending on how the buckle is loaded, it will begin to slip between 15-20 kN (3,500-4,500 lbf). Tying off the buckle will increase the strength and minimize slippage. Fully extended length is 54 inches (137 cm).
The integrated Web Keeper allows the strap to be carried on a gear sling or harness without tangling or getting caught.
Setting a strong and secure anchor is easy with the right tools. Adding PMI Anchor Slings to your anchor kit gets the job done quickly and efficiently.
Choose from 3 different lengths for all your rigging applications.
Pre-sewn webbing loops prepare you for any rigging situation. Made from 1 inch tubular webbing, these sewn loops are strong and ready for use.
