Check This Out - Freakin' Beacon

We at Dynamic Rescue are always watching for new and exciting equipment that actually makes a difference in the way people stay safe at work and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the ideas that come out of Koehler BrightStar.

The "Freakin' Beacon" is no exception; a small flasher that packs a heck of a punch.

User feedback was the driving force behind this design, Koehler BrightStar tells us, and it was important to have a product that was lightweight, durable and bright.

Weighing in at just 97 grams (yes, that includes 2x AAA batteries) and less than 7cm long, this unit is amazingly powerful for its small size.

It is made to be durable and has been drop tested to 2m, has a waterproof rating of IP67 and is Class 1 Div 1 rated for hazardous environments.

It comes in five different colours to help optimize your battery life and brightness and lets you easily find and identify your teams in the darkness.

You also have the choice of four different mounting clips plus an optional headlamp band if you prefer so attaching it to anything should be a breeze and the large button means you can activate it easily, even in gloved hands.

Finally we're going to talk about run-time.  This changes depending on the mode (constant, steady flash or random flash) but at minimum you are getting 36 hours at the highest intensity of steady light that can be seen from over 300m away.  That's pretty incredible when you consider that your credit card is larger than this unit.
