The Saddle Vent takes up only 3 inches in a manhole opening and functions as a fresh air conduit to the workers in the confined space.
With the Saddle Vent in place, continuous ventilation is supplied to the workers by eliminating the need to remove the air duct each time a worker needs to enter or exit a confined space, increasing safety and productivity.
The Saddle Vent was developed by Air Systems and in use around the world for over 20 years to make it easier and safer for workers to enter and exit a confined space.
Made of polyethylene, the duct-to-duct coupler from Air Systems allows for the quick and easy connection between two lengths of 8-inch ducting (available in 3 Foot, 6 Foot, 15 Foot and 25 Foot lengths).
Simply tighten down the ducting to either side of the coupler and you are ready to go work.
The duct to duct coupler also comes in an Intrinsically Safe variant (SVH-88CND) for use in hazardous locations.
The Air Systems 8-inch ducting with cuffs provides the user the ability to greatly extend the reach of their ventilation systems while ensuring their source air is free of pollutants, contaminants, or hazardous conditions.
These ducting sets come in a variety of lengths to ensure you have exactly what you need.
Manufactured from a vinyl polyester outer, the ducting is internally constructed of steel reinforced wire hoops. A 6-inch long attachment cuff (8-3/8 inch in diameter) with adjustable belt straps on both ends allows for quick and easy attachment to blowers or couplers and can be securely stored in one of the ASI custom-built canisters.
The 90 degree elbow is designed to connect securely and easily to the Air Systems Saddle Vent, reducing the chance that your ducting becomes pinched and blocked around the opening, which can restrict your air flow.
Also useful to prevent short-circuiting at the bottom of a space and to help to direct the splash exactly where needed.
