The work seat replaces traditional bosun chair setups for work at heights by increasing the safety and the comfort of the worker, especially during extended periods of suspension.
The main difference between the two being, that if one were to cut the support webbing of a work seat, the worker would still be attached at their MPA to their primary descent device whereas in a traditional setup, the chair would hang free and the worker would be caught by their safety line and dorsal D ring, often requiring rescue.
This work seat comes with a padded seat, removable waist belt and auto-locking carabiner as well as side-mounted D-rings for accessory attachment.
CSA certified to ensure safety and compliance and made entirely in Canada, this work seat offers a cost-effective alternative with some great features in a limited market.
Max working load (worker and tools): 400lbs
ASAP ABSORBER Mobile fall-arrest device for rope. Stops a fall, a slide or uncontrolled descent. For use on a lifeline. Locks even if the device is grabbed during a fall. Works on vertical or angled rope. Moves up and down along the rope without manual intervention. Easy to install and remove at any point on the rope. May be used with an ASAP'SORBER energy absorbing lanyard to create the desired distance from the safety line. Comes with the OK TRIACT-LOCK automatic locking carabiner. Weight: 425 g (350 g for ASAP and 75 g for OK TRIACTLOCK).
The ASAP'SORBER lanyard connects to the ASAP or ASAP LOCK mobile fall arrester to help absorb the energy of a fall by the tearing of specifically-designed stitching. Combined with the ASAP LOCK, the lanyard allows the user to work at a distance from the rope in order to protect it during certain work phases such as grinding or cutting applications. The tearable energy absorber is located in a zippered fabric pouch to protect it from abrasion while still allowing for regular inspection. The ends of the lanyard are equipped with Petzl's STRING system to hold the connector in position and protect the webbing from abrasion.
This lanyard is available in two lengths (20 and 40 cm) for a choice of the best balance between distance from the rope and reducing the fall length.
Materials: nylon, polyester
Certifications: CE EN 355, EAC

The Grillon is an adjustable work positioning lanyard with Petzl's HOOK connector for attachment. The lanyard functions well with a fine adjustment system for precise work positioning.
When used in double mode, on the harness lateral attachment points, to distribute the weight between the belt and the user's feet, the length is adjusted by pressing on the pivoting cam.
The Grillon can also be used in single mode, on the harness ventral attachment point, to distribute weight between the waistbelt and the leg loops so the user is suspended, the length is adjusted by operating the handle while holding the free end of the lanyard.
Removable protective sheath protects the rope from abrasive surfaces and allows smooth rope glide (it is necessary to open the device to remove the protective sheath).
Available in 2m, 3m, 4m and 5m lengths.
Certification: CE EN 358
