RIG Compact self-braking descender is designed for rope access and tactical insertion work (expert users only)
Its multi-functional handle allows the user to: unblock the rope and control the descent with the hand on the free end of the rope, and get into position without having to tie off the device. The automatic return system on the handle limits risks in case of an involuntary action by the user. Handle storage position reduces the risk of snagging when the descender is being carried on the harness. The safety gate on the moving side plate helps prevent dropping the device and facilitates installation of the rope when passing intermediate anchors. Pivoting cam facilitates taking up the slack in the rope.
Can also be used to make a reversible haul system, and for short ascents (in conjunction with a FOOTPRO foot loop and an ASCENSION handled rope clamp).
Lowers heavy loads up to 200 kg (only for expert users; consult the Instructions for use of the device)

The KM III is an exceptional static rope for rappelling, caving, rescue, top roping, fixed rope applications, hauling, and life safety applications. The unique polyester sheath differentiates KM-III from other static ropes. The polyester sheath is balanced with a nylon core to limit rotation, bouncing, and stretch.
KM III is NFPA and CE approved, and all come with an NFPA certification tag and CE labels. Thirty-two bobbins provide the correct sheath for the unique demands of static rope and the optimum sheath/core ratio. This allows for an incredibly smooth sheath, higher tensile strengths, and superior handling characteristics.
Comfortable harness for rope access. With an integrated CROLL ventral rope clamp, the AVAO BOD CROLL FAST harness was designed for greater comfort during rope ascents. The X-shaped dorsal construction wraps to reduce pressure points during prolonged suspension. The harness also facilitates carrying and organization of tools with multiple equipment loops and retainers for attaching CARITOOL tool holders and TOOLBAG tool-holder pouches. The AVAO BOD CROLL FAST harness has a specific construction that allows the user to hang from the dorsal attachment point for a longer time in case of a fall. Integrated CROLL ventral rope clamp for ascending ropes. Built for comfort: - X-shaped dorsal construction wraps to reduce pressure points during prolonged suspension; - semi-rigid, wide waistbelt and leg loops for excellent positioning; sculpted and lined with breathable perforated foam for comfort during suspension; - foam shoulder straps are widely spaced to reduce neck chafing; when the waistbelt is loaded, they help distribute this load over the shoulders; - hooking points for installing a PODIUM seat for use in prolonged suspension. Practical adjustment: - waistbelt and shoulder straps equipped with self-locking DoubleBack buckles for quick and easy adjustment; - leg loops equipped with FAST buckles for quick and easy opening and closing without the need to readjust them, even while wearing gloves; - fold-away side attachment points prevent accidental snagging. Facilitates carrying and organization of tools: - six pre-shaped equipment loops with protective sheath; - four CARITOOL tool holder retainers; - two slots for TOOLBAG tool pouch. Less traumatizing post-fall position: - in case of a fall on the dorsal attachment point, the load is distributed over the leg loops, allowing the user to remain suspended longer while awaiting rescue. The international version has a fall indicator: a red strap appears on the dorsal attachment point after a fall to indicate that the harness should be retired.
