Pre-Requisites: Ice Rescue - Operations and Swiftwater Rescue - Operations
This 1-day class can be added on to our two-day Ice Rescue - Technician course for those departments which operate in the swift water environment, to address the higher risk of conducting a surface ice rescue in moving water. This day will be conducted on the ice and will cover special considerations and rescue techniques specific to icy river rescue.Book Now
The course includes: NFPA Standards, Identification of resources, Rescue site size up, overview and safety, Managing hazards and resources, Ground support operations for helicopters, Medical triage, Ropes (knots, bends and hitches), Equipment familiarization, Anchoring and rigging systems, Patient packaging, Simple mechanical advantage systems, Low to steep angle embankment rescue scenarios.
This course standardizes embankment rescue and provides the foundation skills for students who would like to move into the high angle operations and technician level courses. Students will learn the capabilities and limitations of their equipment in a classroom environment. Students then move to realistic hands-on scenarios, finishing with fully involved steep-slope rescue scenarios.Book Now

Rope Rescue - Operations
This course expands on the skills developed in Rope Rescue Operations. The Technician level requires students to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and techniques for high hazard environments, The equipment used and the procedures required are necessary to safely and effectively coordinate technical rescue incidents in the high angle environment.
