Exposed Terrain Travel - Level 1

This program is designed for search and rescue, ski patrol, resource professionals, emergency services and the general public looking to travel in any terrain where risk and consequences exist.

“Exposed Terrain Travel” describes the entirety of terrain that students may find themselves in whether responding in the mountains or working on a remote site.

The training will provide students with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to safely perform the physical requirements of travel in hazardous/exposed terrain on the way to a rescue or work site.

Students will develop the skills to move safely when tasked into terrain with higher levels of risk and consequences.

SAFELY MOVING AS AN INDIVIDUAL IN CLASS 3 - 5 NON SNOW OR ICE TECHNICAL TERRAIN (NO LEAD CLIMBING)
