Mine Rescue - Standby

Helping you provide the best health, safety, and emergency capabilities for your mine’s workers and facilities

Mining operations continue to be an important natural resource business, not just in B.C., but all over Canada and the world. However, there is no question that the health and safety of workers and the public is one of the most crucial responsibilities of the mining industry. To ensure this protection, much legislation and regulation has been implemented in every jurisdiction. As a result of this, mine owners and managers face substantial regulatory hurdles to start new projects, or even to keep up-to-date with current technological and procedural advancements. Even some large-scale construction projects can fall under the implications of the broad-reaching mining regulations.

It was with these challenges in mind that, several years ago, Dynamic Rescue created its Mine Rescue division. Our goal is to help the mining industry provide the highest possible standards of health and safety to workers and the public, specifically in emergency rescue. With decades of experience in similar rescue settings, it quickly became apparent that the techniques and methods Dynamic Rescue had been using in Confined Space, High Angle, Swiftwater, and Firefighting emergencies would be hugely beneficial to the mining community.

Over the years, Dynamic Rescue has become and industry leader in helping mines with all 4 phases of their emergency preparedness: Planning, Training, Operations, and Monitoring/Documenting.

How does Dynamic Rescue help your business?

As an authoring partner for the latest version of the BC Mine Rescue Manual, as well as extensive experience in Confined Space pre-planning, Dynamic Rescue is well suited to help mine owners and managers of any site develop the proper emergency response planning. Dynamic Rescue brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table to help you create an emergency response plan specific to your site for Mine Rescue, Medical Emergencies, Hazmat Spills and Fires, Landslide Events, and Confined Space hazards.

To follow up on the planning, Dynamic Rescue offers a wide range of training courses to help you ensure that your employees have the training they need to stay safe. We’ve created hundreds of customized training courses for industries all over the world; designed specifically to train the workers of a particular site how to best keep themselves safe, and what to do in an emergency. We offer courses in First Aid, Confined Space, High Angle Rope Rescue, Swiftwater, and Firefighting specific to the mining industry, and all our courses meet or exceed WorkSafe BC and NFPA requirements.

From an operational perspective, meeting the Mine Rescue Team requirements can be a challenge during initial mine construction or expansion phases. To help fill the gap, Dynamic Rescue offers mines the unique opportunity to have our Rescue Technician teams come directly onto your site. Not only do our team members have certification in various rescue disciplines, like Confined Space, Rope Rescue, First Aid, and Firefighting, but they also have their BC Mine Rescue certification as well. Because of our familiarity with the planning process, Dynamic Rescue teams are well positioned to assist mine managers in reviewing and monitoring their emergency response plans, and maintain all the proper documentation. This ensures that you meet all your regulatory compliance, but more importantly, keeps your employees and the public safe.
