Dynamic Rescue Training is very proud to partner with the BC Construction Safety Alliance to offer accredited courses in 3 key areas of the NCSO program

  

Confined Space - Entrant
1 Day - 8 Hours
Prerequisites: None

This course provides the foundation skills for students who would like to move into the Confined Space world. It is a one day program with a combination of classroom and practical hands on applications.


The course includes:

  • WorkSafeBC Standards
  • Rescue site overview and safety
  • Developing the ability to initiate and conduct non-entry confined space rescue
  • Gaining insight into hazard identification, assessment and control for entry and rescue
  • Learning to recognize the first responders' roles and responsibilities; given the limitations of standard confined space equipment
  • Operation of mechanical retrieval systems

Testing: Students will be given a written, individual proficiency and team practical evaluation. Successful candidates will be certified to Confined Space Rescue Awareness.

Regulations: This course meets and exceeds NFPA 1006 and 1670 and is in conformance with CSA and WorkSafeBC Standards and is approved training for the BCCSA NCSO designation.

Fall Protection - Level 1
1 Day - 8 Hours
Prerequisites: None

This course provides an overview of the potential hazards associated with working at heights and precautions, which should be taken to prevent injuries associated with falls from heights. The program provides an overview of the types of fall protection devices that are available and their intended use. This program will meet the requirements of WorkSafeBC Part 11 Fall Protection and Part 32 Evacuation and Rescue.


The course includes:

  • Overview of the necessity of fall protection
  • Identification, prioritization and control of fall hazards
  • Hierarchy of fall protection
  • Components of personal fall arrest systems
  • Critical concepts of fall protection
  • Inspection and maintenance of fall protection equipment
  • Fall rescue protocols
  • Provisions for establishing a rescue plan
  • Written fall protection plans
  • Self rescue techniques
  • Small team assisted rescue
  • Proper techniques for wearing harnesses and equipment

Testing: Students will be given a written, individual proficiency and team practical evaluation. Successful candidates will be given a certificate of completion.

Regulations: This course is in conformance with CSA and WorkSafeBC Standards and is approved training for the BCCSA NCSO designation.

Respiratory Protection and Fit Testing
1/2 Day - 4 Hours
Prerequisites: None

This course provides the foundation skills for students who would like to utilize respiratory protection systems in their workplace. Students will participate in classroom lectures as well as hands-on utilization of Air-Purifying respirator systems.  Each individual will be fit tested and checked for proficiency. It is a one day program with a combination of classroom and practical hands-on applications.


The course includes:

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Hazard Assessment
  • Selection of Appropriate Respirator
  • Respirator Fit-Testing
  • Training
  • Use of Respirators
  • Cleaning, Inspection, Maintenance and Storage
  • Health Surveillance of Respirator Users
  • Program Evaluation
  • Documentation and Record Keeping

Testing: Students will be given a written, individual proficiency and practical evaluation. Successful candidates will be given a certificate of completion.

Regulations: This course is in conformance with CSA Z94.4 and WorkSafeBC Standards and is approved training for the BCCSA NCSO designation.
